Social care providers and sector partners came together on Tuesday 3rd of March 2026 for Norfolk County Council’s Achieving Care Together (ACT) Conference – an event dedicated to strengthening care quality, celebrating best practice, and shaping Norfolk’s adult social care priorities for the year ahead.
The full day conference, held at Dunston Hall in Norwich, brought together care providers from across residential care, home care, supported living, community services and wider system partners. Key organisations in attendance included the Norfolk Care Association, Norfolk & Suffolk Care Support, Skills for Care, Norfolk Care Careers, Adult Learning and EPIC (Exercising People in Communities) Norfolk.
The event demonstrated the county’s collective commitment to valuing, supporting and elevating the adult social care sector. Delegates took part in workshops, discussions and networking sessions exploring how together, partners can continue to deliver high quality, sustainable care for Norfolk residents.
A focus on quality, innovation and shared priorities
This year’s programme highlighted both national and local developments in adult social care, alongside emerging challenges and opportunities for the sector. Delegates engaged in interactive workshops covering:
- Quality Assurance – care record management and analysis
- Mental Capacity Act
- Safeguarding
- Behaviour Support
- Strategic Commissioning Framework
Valuable insights from these sessions will help shape Norfolk’s sector wide quality improvement activity over the coming year, ensuring provider expertise directly contributes to future planning.

Celebrating and supporting the care workforce
The conference showcased innovation and best practice across the sector, highlighted the strategic direction of Adult Social Services, and created space for open conversations about future priorities. Delegates also benefited from valuable networking opportunities with colleagues from across the care market.
