DWP Jobs Guarantee Scheme: Free Webinar for Employers and Trade Bodies

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is hosting a free online webinar to introduce the Jobs Guarantee Scheme, part of the Government’s wider Youth Guarantee programme.

The scheme aims to support eligible young people aged 18–24 who have been claiming Universal Credit and actively seeking work for 18 months, by providing fully funded, six-month paid employment opportunities.

The DWP expects the programme to support more than 90,000 young people over the next three years, working with delivery partners across 25 areas of Great Britain.

What will the webinar cover?

The session will provide:

  • An overview of the Jobs Guarantee Scheme and its objectives
  • Information on how the programme supports young people experiencing long-term unemployment
  • Details of the planned national rollout and delivery model
  • Opportunities for employers and partners to engage with the scheme
  • An explanation of how the programme aims to improve employment outcomes for young people

Why attend?

For adult social care providers, the webinar offers an opportunity to learn about a potential route for bringing young people into the workforce and developing future recruitment pathways.

The session may be particularly relevant to care providers, HR professionals, recruitment managers and organisations interested in supporting young people into employment.
