Professional Care Workers’ Week returns from Monday 14 to Friday 18 September 2026, bringing together care workers, managers and sector leaders for a week of learning, discussion and celebration.
Organised by The Care Workers’ Charity, the week will feature a programme of free virtual panels, information sessions and in-person events, exploring some of the key issues affecting people working across social care.
Sessions will provide opportunities to hear directly from people working in the sector, share learning and explore how the care workforce can be supported and strengthened.
One of the week’s sessions, From Crisis to Career: Building Long-Term Futures in Care, takes place on Monday 14 September, 10:00–11:00am.
The panel will explore how care can offer not simply a job, but a genuine long-term career – looking at routes from entry-level roles through to leadership and what needs to change to make careers in care sustainable and appealing. Liz Jones, Deputy CEO and Policy Director at the National Care Forum, will be among those taking part.
