The Care Provider Alliance (CPA) is encouraging adult social care providers to complete its latest Adult Social Care Resilience Survey, helping to build an up-to-date picture of the financial and operational pressures facing the sector.
Working with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the CPA is gathering evidence on how global events, including developments in the Middle East, are affecting care providers through rising energy, fuel and supply costs.
Following an initial survey in May 2026, this latest round aims to understand how pressures have changed as the sector approaches winter and provide Government with current evidence to inform discussions about provider resilience.
What does the survey cover?
Providers are invited to share their experiences of:
- Energy and fuel costs
- Travel and associated staffing and resource pressures
- Other rising operational costs
- The impact of cost pressures on fees and commissioning discussions
Why take part?
The findings will help the CPA and DHSC understand the challenges facing adult social care providers and identify how pressures are changing over time.
Providers are encouraged to respond even if they are not currently experiencing significant financial impacts, as this will help build a more accurate and representative picture of the sector.
How to participate
Providers will be asked to register and select their primary care association before accessing the survey. Registration enables responses to be compared across different survey rounds.
Providers who are not members of a care association can select the option ‘I am not part of a care association’.
Survey data will be available to DHSC in anonymised form and, where applicable, to the provider’s care association to support monitoring and resilience planning.

Providers are encouraged to complete the survey as soon as possible to ensure their experiences are reflected in the evidence shared with Government.
