Norfolk Care Association is working with Norfolk County Council (NCC) to explore a potential provider-led assessment model for home care services in Norfolk.
Similar to established trusted assessor initiatives, the proposed approach would enable providers to undertake assessments within a robust quality assurance framework. The aim is to reduce delays in the assessment and review process, benefiting people receiving care, providers and NCC.
We have been exploring successful approaches elsewhere, including Lincolnshire’s trusted assessor model, which has been operating for ten years.
