Workshop Week: practical online workshops for managers and senior staff

Supporting Positively is running Workshop Week from 14–18 September 2026, bringing together a programme of practical online workshops for managers, team leaders, senior support workers and others working across care and support services.

The focus throughout the week is on practical application, with sessions designed to provide ideas, tools and approaches that participants can take back and use within their services.

Four workshops may be particularly useful for adult social care providers:

Effective Debriefing

Tuesday 15 September, 9:30am–12:30pm

Explore how debriefing can be used effectively to support staff, learn from incidents and improve future practice.

CQC Readiness: Evidencing Outstanding Practice

Tuesday 15 September, 1:30pm–4:30pm

A practical session looking at how to identify and present evidence, demonstrate impact and talk confidently about the quality of support being provided.

Places for this workshop are limited to 15.

Completing & Using ABC Forms

Thursday 17 September, 9:30am–12:30pm

Focus not only on completing ABC forms, but on improving the quality of information collected and using it effectively to understand behaviour and inform support.

Reducing Restrictive Practices

Friday 18 September, 9:30am–12:30pm

Explore how to identify restrictive practices, including those that can easily become normalised within services, and develop meaningful approaches to reducing them.
