As part of a joint engagement initiative with Norfolk & Suffolk Care Support, Norfolk County Council (NCC) has been actively working to understand the challenges and opportunities within adult social care nursing across the county.

NCC has been gathering valuable insights from nursing home providers and is now using this feedback to improve internal processes, enhance training, streamline communication, and ensure that services meet the changing needs of local people. Their goal is to support a workforce that feels skilled, confident, and valued.

What happens next?

Over the coming year, NCC hopes to visit every nursing home in the area. These visits are designed to offer supportive conversations, connect you with workforce development opportunities, and help build a comprehensive picture of services across the county.

Get Involved in the Complex Community Support (CCS) Programme

The CCS Programme – a partnership between Adult Social Care, health, and providers – is looking for passionate providers to join their co-design groups. This is your chance to help shape how care works in practice for people with complex needs.

The Programme wants to hear from a diverse mix of providers – with or without in-house clinical nursing support – to help them:

  • Improve nursing care pathways and delegated healthcare.
  • Understand current issues regarding capacity, workforce, and training.
  • Design practical, safe, and person-centred approaches.
Are you interested in making a real impact?

If you want to help shape more effective nursing pathways and Delegated Healthcare approaches, NCC and its partners want to hear from you.

To register your interest, please email the CCS Programme team directly at: integratedcommissioners@norfolk.gov.uk
