We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity from Skills for Care to help adult social care providers embed the Care Workforce Pathway into their everyday practice.

The Care Workforce Pathway is a comprehensive framework designed to clearly define careers in adult social care. It sets out the knowledge, skills, values, and behaviours essential for delivering high-quality, personalised care and support – giving both employers and employees a shared understanding of what good looks like at every stage of a care career.

However, we know that adopting a new framework can feel daunting. That is why Skills for Care has developed a support programme specifically designed to make adoption of the Pathway achievable, practical, and meaningful for providers.

What the support programme offers:
  • Clear, manageable steps – The programme breaks Pathway adoption down into practical actions, providing tools and templates to make getting started straightforward.
  • Integration into everyday practice – Rather than treating the Pathway as extra work or a separate initiative, the programme helps you build it into your existing workforce processes seamlessly.
  • Consistent ways of working – By using shared language, expectations, and approaches to workforce development, the Pathway supports greater consistency across care providers and systems.
  • Confidence and momentum – Through supported learning, peer connection, and ongoing engagement, the programme helps build shared ownership and lasting momentum across your organisation.

If you are interested in finding out more, Skills for Care is now accepting applications for the July and September cohorts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get practical, hands-on support to make the Care Workforce Pathway work for your organisation – and for the people you support.
